Persistence of vision or P.O.V. (2023)
P.O.V. is an assignment I gave myself during the month of September 2023 consisting of 30 pen and ink drawings on 8x10 drawing paper. I drew one piece every day for 30 days using the same reference image, occasionally choosing different pens to draw with. The assignment resulted in a mood tracker of sorts, where it's notable which days I was inspired and which ones I felt the burden of having a monotonous task to do.
An accompanying animation of each drawing in a loop emphasizes the daily deviations in each drawing and highlights the importance of consistency when making an animation.
